We all love to listen to music, especially a live performance. Learning how to play the piano is a wonderful outlet for creativity, and also gives one a sense of accomplishment! At my studio, we have plenty of fun along with learning how to play the piano.
My goal is to provide my students a well-rounded education in piano study from the ground up, and provide them with as many performance opportunities as they want. I hold several studio recitals per year, and provide opportunities to perform in events hosted by SLAMTA and the Guild. My studio is constantly evolving. I learn as much from my students as they do from me! I love providing instruction and encouragement to my students, and performing for live audiences.
I have taught piano to students of all ages and abilities for over 20 years. I have degrees in piano performance from the University of Missouri-Columbia and the University of Notre Dame. I am also a member of the St. Louis Area of Music Teachers Association (SLAMTA), Missouri Music Teachers Association (MMTA), Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), and the National Guild of Piano Teachers, which is a division of the American College of Musicians.
I am also an active performer, and accompanist. I am a member of The Parlor Trio, a chamber ensemble of two violinists and myself on piano, and the Associated Chamber Music Players (ACMP).
I am accepting students at all levels, from children to adults. It is never too late to start to learn.
